My name is Shawn Woll and I Live in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania.
I am 16 years old and I have been playing the Great Highland Bagpipes for 2 years. I am with a local band called the Hawk Mountain Highlanders.

Competition:
I will be competing for the first time as a grade 4junior with the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association this May at the Fair Hill Scottish Games in Maryland.
The competition was fun, I scored average in my grade... I look forward to bettering my score next year...
Passion for Bagpipes:

I have a deep love and passion for bagpiping. However, bagpipes are an expensive instrument, the pipes I learned to play on are loaners from the band. I just received my new McCallum pipes from Scotland.
In the ancient art of Busking I am hoping to earn some money by playing my new pipes now that they have completed their journey from Scotland to Schuylkill County.
I would also like to thank Rose from Dave Eye's Bar and the fine people of Girardville who encouraged me to play after the parade and donated to the bagpipe fund!
